The only way to watch anime for me in the 80s was French dub. Animes like Dragon ball / Z, Saint Seiya (also known as Chévaliers du Zodiac' or 'Knights of the Zodiac', Ronin Warriors, Sailon Moon, Nicky Larson (City Hunter), Ramna 1/2 and Sentais like Bioman were weekly shown on Wednesday-afternoons. I never did my homework back then.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Cpaptain Tsubasa, the soccer anime, yeah i vaguely remember that.

Ulysses 31: i looked it up, and yes, the intro theme does sounds recognizable.

'Mysterious Cities of Gold', still remember that one? ;)
